Happy birthday to our favorite actress!

50 years ago today, 19-year-old Catherine was in the midst of her first trip to the U.S. to promote The Empty Canvas for Embassy Pictures and to explore other potential opportunities in America.
Appropriately, Ms. Spaak is enjoying some well-earned new visibility and fans thanks to Janus' Films' vigorous reissue of Dino Risi's IL SORPASSO, which will also hit Criterion Blu-Ray+DVD at the end of the month.
